What does the panel think of these?

They look a lot like W211 E63 wheels to me, which I like.

I like them to...

I don't normally like aftermarket wheels, and whilst these obviously look aftermarket, I like them a lot.

I imagine they aren't cheap but I can't see a price on the US website.

The look like Vossen VVS CV3, they are very popular in the US with E55 owners but you will need to lower the car as well to get the same look, speak with Premier Auto Design here in the UK for prices or take a look at

Vossen Monoblock 1 piece alloy wheels - At Premier Auto Design London

as a guess I would say 3-4k for the set + tyres of coursehttp://www.vossenwheels.co.uk/vossen-monoblock.html

Bloody nice man. Get them bought.

Wheels and car look great - very purposeful.

very nice

Lol. There's me thinking there would be a 50/50 split.

Thanks all...

Smart and easy to keep clean

They look big on that picture probably 20"?

I've started washing the car myself and so this was part of the strategy.

You are spot on with the size. They came up in results on Google when I searched '19" wheels e55k' hence my assumption.

They are indeed. All the cars I've seen them on are US ones I think.

I contacted their importer shortly after my last post (PAD as you rightly suggest) that they are indeed 20" as said and are £2700 for a set of 4 with 4 tyres so you are close!

I wonder what tyres they would be for that sort of money and how much the wheels are alone - but that gives me an idea.

I didn't think about the lowering and that may be the stick in the mud (not to mention I don't carry £2700 around in my wallet!). I didn't really want to modify the car in that way - but I understand the look will not be the same without.

Would the lowering module achieve the required lowerage?

Pretty much any of the ELM/DLM modules will do the trick. I have the Renntech one but you could also lower with lowering bars but have read that the ride quality is not the same. With the Renntech one it will return to standard ride height at the speed you set, I have mine at 20mph so it feels the same most of the time and is only low at slow speeds. Finally you can also adjust through Star so very cost effective, I don't think you can set it to return to stock above a certain speed though.
