I recently changed the conductor plate and fully flushed the system with new oil.
All I did was take off the gearbox oil cooler pipe at the cooler and fit a clear tube over that and ran the engine and it pumped out the fluid. I kept a log of how much came out so i could put the same in and kept doing it ( 3 times) till the oil being pumped out was the same red as what went in. The. Final top up and all was good. Simple clean and easy
I think you'll find the Mobil1 went into the engine
If you really used Mobil1 for your gearbox, get it drained .....quickly. Use the correct ATF and another filter from MB. Hopefully you have done no lasting damage.

If you will check the bevo lists you will find mobil1 listed in the approved list for the auto box, i did check it at the moment. I know that because the gearbox oil change, was done by MercA1 center in north London, and i also panicked when they told me about Mobil1 , knowing that fuchs is the one that people recommend.
It has been about 25000 miles and about an year since the oil change and the car drives very well.
Thanks for the concern but i definetly can make the difference between the engine and the gearbox. Infact i managed to diagnose and to fix my auto box prior to the oil change. I took the car to a specialist after reading about bolts snapping when removing the sump, otherwise would have done it myself .
