What is this button for?

I saw a climate control unit on e bay the other. How easy would it be to change standard air con to climate control? BTW I've got the button as well.

it means have a rest when you press it lol

Would a climate control unit from a w210 work properly on a w202.(Currently have climate in W202 but w210 looks a bit better)

I have it on my V230 but it only works for 30 seconds,

Anyone know why?

How long it runs for depends on:

-temperature setting
-engine coolant temperature
-battery voltage

Assuming the engine is hot and a normal temp. is set, it should run for up to 30 mins. approx. provided the battery is healthy.

In the summer it will circulate cold air, which is useful to keep the cabin cool in the sun for 30 minutes.

Didn't realise that, thought it just blew warm. Rest seems to be a standard feature of 'Thermotronic' - the standard air conditioning system doesn't have it. I love it, very useful when arriving early at work and waiting for someone to open up, or whilst on short trips to the supermarket, etc.

Didn't realise what that button did either, and I do have the handbooks.... :D
