I am looking at buying a c class estate, c220, diesel, sport, about 12- 63 plate. The question is is this a W204?

Assuming you are referring to the 4-door saloon, then yes it is the W204.

And since it was made after 2010 this will be the Facelift model.

It's the estate model, does that make a difference? I have just sold my BMW 3 series and the saloon/coupe/estate have different model numbers.

The estate is actually S204.

But some people (incorrectly) refer to both the estate and saloon as 'W204'.

So if you are told that the car is 'W204' (saloon), it's still worth checking because it might actually be an S204 (estate).

The same with my old 3 series, the saloon is the E90 and the estate is a E91 but every body call them the E90.
