What suppliers does Mercedes use?

I think as everybody has mentioned there is no final list.

If you are replacing parts the safest way is to stick with original or original suppliers such as ATE Pagid Bilstein etc....

As for the shocks even if you managed to find one from the same factory It won't perform equally to your existingn one therefore making your quest a waste.

Is this due to its age and use? The car has only done 27,000 miles and the dealer was adamant that they didnt need to be replaced in pairs. So if I got the dealer to fit a new one this week and then got my own mechanic to fit a new one to the other side a week later would that be ok? Im assuming they aren't available in pairs so to speak to Im assuming this would be ok...I realise Im doing a lot of assuming on something fairly important.

I think that would be the best solution.

Personally I still would of thought that the dealer would fit both sides under warranty.

Let us all know what the outcome is

He isnt obliged to and to be honest he has been fantastic to me with the car. I havent had it for more than a week and he gave me a £600 discount, replaced the steering rack for £700 and now buying a new shock and cap/top mount. If its a personal preference and not a requirement to do the other side I am more than happy to pay for that as its my choice. Im still not convinced if I will do it as its a family car and will be driven very moderately and spend 6 days of the year on the motorway reaching 70mph anyway.

I had a spring fail under warranty (Mercedes Tier 1) and they refused to replace as a pair so I pad to have the other side done and the dealer gave me a discount of the part and labour to make it more palatable.

I also had a Xenon capsule (bulb) replaced under the same warranty and again they only authorised a single capsule for one side.

Interesting though as under any other circumstance the dealer advises that you replace in pairs...

The Mercedes dealer wasnt who I bought it from. They are only providing the parts so it would be in their interest to say that both need doing as its an independent that will pick up the bill. As the shocks are only £130 its not a massive expense and Ill see if I can sell mine on the bay for £50 or something incase there is someone in a similar situation with a mid aged B class.

Genuine front brake discs for your car from MB are £39.60 each, front pads are £49.46.

Genuine rear discs are £39.60 and pads are £50.40

So parts are £259, I assume the rest of the £400 was for fitting?

Looks like buying non genuine parts off ebay will save you around £10?

Im pretty sure that the quote was for the parts only.

If those were the parts prices and the difference is negligable what would people go for Brembo disc/pads or Mercedes discs/pads?

Sorry I sent the same post twice somehow. Can a mod delete please?

Just been to got some front/rear Brembo discs and front Brembo pads. They didnt have any Brembo rear pads and the only place I can fnd any is here on ebay, which makes me wonder if they have made a mistake as they are listed on the Brembo site (below)

eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace

Brembo | Aftermarket Catalogue

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Should have read AREN'T listed on the website.
Does the edit option disappear after a while as I couldnt amend that post. Would make it a lot tidier if I could.

On a side note I found out that the standard pads in the B200 Turbo are Ferodos.
