OK, got a Comand with the little AUX plug in the glovebox and wondered what kinds of thing people are using it for?

Use mine for my Ipod

Dab Radio??? but have to turn the volume up a little more

I have one of these Aux imputs, but cannot see what type of plug goes into it??

Anyone want to enlighten me please??

Its just a standard audio in/out socket - don't know the exact name = but a standard phono connection would work i think

It's a standard 3.5mm stereo socket - mine currenty has a Zen attached.
Looking at the earlier posts - why are people connecting speakers to it? Isn't it simply an input to the audio?

Steve fitted one when he installed the comand, i use for the ipod.

If you are outdoors and need better quality sound and have rubbish car speakers like me, but better digital sound exterior speakers, it comes in useful for audio out .

Same as i do at home. By plugging my hifi surround set into the aux of my sky box ,and selecting aux on the hifi, i get TV audio quality through my digital surround speakers, located all over the house. Much better than the TV sound so i just turn the TV volume off

IPOD Nano

BTW - How can an AUX-in double as an audio-out to run speakers? Apologies if I am an electronics imbecile
