Wheel Noise ML320

Hi, I'm new to the site and have just bought a W164 ML320 cdi. A noise seems to be coming from the nearside front wheel when I drive at slow speeds. The noise goes after 60 mph plus. At first I thought the bearing needs replacing, but it isn't a constant 'whirring' drone associated with shot bearings. It's more of a light thud... Could this be a warped disc? There is no vibration or feedback from the brake pedal to suggest this though.
