got these wheels for free,think they suit the w124 well, all where very badly corroded and 4 dud tyres,
got down to tyre centre and got the tyres of and this is the condtion all 4 are in







so was on the late cover today and went mad with sander and ended got them into this shape,



so next step is some more sanding and get some etch primer onto them

Gonna paint them and not polish them ?

yea painting them, polishing wud be too much time and money

Fair do's to you. Some hard work there but already shaping up nicely.

yea, few people said to me to paint main face silver and paint the inner part of the spokes grapite, not too keen on this as think it'll make the wheel look smaller

Looks good so far. I need to do a similar job on mine, but one at a time.

I'd like to know how you sanded them, type of sander, grade, etc...

And what type of primer, paint, how many coats...
