Wheel / Steering knocking?

Getting a slight knocking sound when I drive over broken bits of road. Like something is loose. Sounds worse funnily enough in reverse.
I'll be honest I'm not well up on the steering box set up on Mercs, so not sure what to look out for. Suspension seems ok? same again though not sure what to look for.

Any help guys.?

Could be ball joints, anti-roll bar drop links.....

On the c123 or the s202?

It's on my W202.
I kinda tried the usual ball joint checks - and it didn't seem like it was that?
