Last time I spoke to MBenzNL he had a styling pack in storage for me (which he bought in March 2003!).

that has been sold already...that set went to sweden...'

Well, as it's summer again and my winter tyres are starting to look like they should go into storage as they're getting close to minimum spec for winter use.

I am back to thinking about the SLK350 rims.

Cheers Chris, if they were refurbished and at that price I'd consider them but the kerb damage to the rim on at least one of the wheels puts me off, depending on the discount I get on brand new ones they may still be in the running though . You don't happen to offer any kind of warranty on the wheels do you, only I'm worried that the lacquer might go cloudy or peel off if there is existing damage.

The wheels have the original factory finish, and as you say, there is always the risk of water ingress behind the lacquer, although wheels made in the last couple of years seem to be much better than before. They are used, and the warranty does not cover the finish. Preventative measures would I'm sure extend the life..
