Hi

I'm trying to get a set of tailgate badges for my 300te 4Matic. Any clues please I'm after a mint set.

My first thought would be to check eBay, there's a 300te badge on there now for £20

I think that might be available from MB. Saw a picture on screen at Bromley this morning.

I think Bruce will be wanting the old underlined style:

Gents for whatever reason when I click on these links I get the site etc but no picture of the actual badges. Can somebody please save the pics and put them on here so that I can compare? It is the 4Matic with the Underline that I require and the matching/correct 300te DEL320 has posted the exact car (wrong colour)

I would be wary of purchasing badges on eBay from non-official sources.

I have bought some in the past (to replace stolen ones) and despite using the most "legit" looking seller I could find, when they arrived they were obviously counterfeits. Correct size and shape but quite cheap looking and a dull matt silver plastic instead of the bright chrome look.

Just left the car with the stolen letters missing rather than use the fakes.

I trust you would be fine purchasing from an official dealer - I just couldn't find any at the time.

That has also been my experience even down to a simple tailgate star for my wife's 240. The chrome fell off first wash. That turned up in a Mec labelled pack with correct part numbers etc,

So how do I know that these are the correct ones?

All I can tell you is they are depicted as "underlined" in the EPC parts diagram- which- unless your mercedes parts counter man has ordered one recently- is what they will tell you also. :dk:

Like these. This is my car.
