I now always buy a Mercedes 229.5 20L drum for both my petrol and pre-DPF diesels (otherwise you’ll need a 229.51) which works out a lot cheaper than other oil such as from Mobil 1 or Castrol and it is quite convenient.
From my knowledge and research I’m sure that the engine oils is supplied by Fuchs as well which is still very good if not better than most other famous brands.

My other car gets Fuchs Titan Pro S (fully esther synthetic), and it really like it. - I'm tempted to try it in the CLK next time, but I'm not sure it really needs it since it's neither high milage nor turbocharged.
