where is the ecu ??

Where is the ECU located on a w202 c250 td ?? when "chipping" it, is this still the old type phisical chip ? or just a reflash via obd or whatever.. ?

According to the diagram in the Haynes manual, if you are standing at the front of the car, the ECU box is at the very back right corner of the engine bay, right next to the hinge for the bonnet/hood. Under the big black plastic cover.

does anyone know if the ecu has an eprom that can be reflashed ? or does it have to be done via the diagnostics port ?? Ive got my hands on some c250 files, but they might be for the non turbo as I cant match any of the numbers up with my ecu...

The ECU will require a ROM flash as it doesn't have the facility for flashing via the interface.
