And fuse number please?
W219 CLS55 2005 (55)

It has stopped recognising my disk now, after getting lost then finding itself again.

I'm not sure if is the ariel or something more serious, I'll try a reset if I can find the fuse.

Thanks in advance, Colin.

If it can't see the disk it will lose the map info. Give the laser head a clean.

The fuse for the navigation processor is in the fusebox to the right of it. I cant remember which, but check the fusemap which should be in with the fusebox at driver's end of the dashboard (under the cover at the end)

The fuse for the Audio Gateway (amplifier, fibre optic controller, radio and diagnostics for the Audio system) is one of the 40A fuses in same fusebox

There is a seperate fuse for the COMAND itself, I can't remember exactly where that is, but its on the fuse map, and probably in the large fusebox under the bonnet.

If nav is lost, its most likely a GPS antenna or a dirty laser or scratched map disk (especially if a copy) - but you normally get error messages in the case of an unreadable map disk (which I think you are getting) and its just lost in the case of an antenna (and you can check how many satellites are being received)

Ok, fuse removed, system reset, all good

Thanks guys, all seems well.
Am I in for trouble in the near future?

Colin.
