Where to buy a Wahler A6422002215 Thermostat?

This confirms their own catalogue is wrong in terms of applicable vehicles
There is NO REASON to accept AutoDoc or any other aftermarket website's compatibility recommendations.

ALWAYS get the MB part number and cross-refer to aftermarket suppliers.

In summary, no.

I own a w212 E350 and have also changed the stat after massive searching around for hours and hours.

You might be able to find an internal that works, but it's going to be trial and error. Search my threads for more detail and photos I've taken showing the inner removed.
Did you find an internal Thermostat that fits? The heater looks in a good condition on my old one and I'd like to keep a spare for future projects.

No, but I didn't try. I had a spare thermostat as it happened. But in my thread with the photos of removing the internal part I was showing it could be removed and it was the rubber seal thay was the cause of failure.

I should probably take a punt on some ten quid internals to see if I can find one that fits.

Yes I was thinking the same. My internals came out clean once I released the spring.

I know, the issue is Wahler's own info is wrong. They quote correct merc part number but have messed up which cars it is used on.

I read somewhere the cheap inserts you see with the brass nipple aren't suitable. The nipple can be removed and there is a hole but it isn't deep enough for the heater element.
