Where to get aluminium door pins?

I bought these ages ago from jerry formymercedes.com, they sit flush when shut and you need not to remove the cards when installing them, just unscrew the old ones and in with the new ones, same goes for the surrounds too.

I was tempted with the door pins like Andy's however with the interior of mine being grey i didn't think it would look right - much better with black.

OK, they are here and chrome and a dozen of them + what I already had in my garage but more can be easily got in a couple of days if enough folks want them.

I'm assuming:

Pammy = 2?
Sym = 4?
Nw Merc = 4?
Shude = 4?

PM Me your addys and I'll post them + any others who fancy some.

Portzy.

EDIT: Rubbish picture, sorry.

Yes please!

How much did you want for them?

Finally I will have something in the interior that matches the chrome shift frame ;)

Four put to one side then. Zilch, but if you ever see a Marie Curie daffodil seller in your town centre a small donation would be appreciated. You wanna call round or PM me your addy?.

I'll call round, you're not far from where I work :)

Put them in, 20 minute job with a pair of pliers to take off the old ones. They look the dog's tender bits :bannana:

If anyone wants any, apart from those who are getting them from portzy let me know

Fitted ... easy job :D Thanks portzy !

You need to turn them more than 90 degrees with the pliers .. takes a few 360 degree turns before they will unscrew by hand ... once I had figured this out, no probs !

Maybe the newer models have a screw thread all the way down, but on my 202 and 210, the thread has a flat side which allows the old pin to be pulled off after 90 degrees (depending which way you turn it at 1st)

Assume the same applies to your shiny door-sills then :) :devil:

This is a very subtle , cheap, and OEM, mod (what more could you ask for !)that works well with any interior that has chrome highlights ... its not a chrome steering wheel for goodness sake !

Has the added advantage on my car that with a black interior, it is far easier to see whether the doors are locked or unlocked when looking from the outside through the factory lightly-tinted windows ... I often forget whether I have locked the car or not and all it takes is a quick glance now, rather than a close up squint, as was the case with the 'tatty' black plastic ones ! :p

We love tat in Bradford :eek: ;).

It does 'lift' the interior though if you have lots of black everywhere, specially if some small items are highlighted chrome like door handles and instruments etc.

Now the important question is, does MB do OEM door pin surrounds? I know I can get them from formymercedes.com but I dont want to pay for shipping from the U.S. so part numbers anyone?
