Hi All:
Can you help me please cause im confused:wallbash:

The fuel pump relay on my 200ce?
Is that the black one the size of a fag packet?
To get the fuel pump running do you jump 15 and 87 together?

Beside that one I have the OVP relay the one with the 10amp fuse and beside that one I have a green one.
What is the green one?

If jumping 15 and 87 and the car wont start and no buzz from FP do you think FP its goosed.

Its an external FP on the 200 yeah:confused:

I have today checked for dry joints in the fag packet:o relay all ok

Thanks

Pretty sure it is 30 and 87, should be next to/opposite each other if you see what I mean.

Possibly you have got the wrong relay, there is another that looks very similar - what is written on top of it?

003 545 53 05 doesnt have kickdown on it but I imagine thats on the 300 auto ones?

Mines a 200 manual

30 and 87, as already said. Fuel pump will run continuously - so make sure you only try it for diagnostic purposes :)

Will

Ok Thanks is the big relay the fuel pump relay tho?

The Relay behind the battery big black one?
any idea what the green one is?

No, A0035455305 is not the FP relay, but looks identical to it - keep looking in the same area, with a torch...

My 1994 200ce is a manual.
Would the relay still have the words kickdown on it?
Is kickdown not for autos?

Alex My car is a left hooker. The battery is on my passenger your drivers side.

All thats behind the battery is a biggish ecu unit thing? Also the black fag packet relay that you have the number for.
A relay(OVP) with a 10 amp fuse on top .
A green Relay ?
Finished late tonight so Ill take some pic tommoz.

Thanks for all the advice folks

Sinky

It would be alot less hassle to just unplug the fuel pump wiring at the plug under the rear seat base, and give the pump a direct live and earth. It is a 2 pin plug, with 1 red and 1 black wire.

You will then know if the pump is good or not, and hopefully the car will start. :thumb:

One other idea, has the car got an imobiliser fitted?

Will do. Well there is a alarm siren under the bonnet and a lot of bleeping noises when I turn off the ignition?

I dont have a alarm fob of any time.

Ill speak to previous owner tomoz.

Have you got the small key that fits in the top of the siren?

The fuel pump relay has 12 pins, in 2 rows of 6 where it plugs in to the loom.

Hi guys this is a pic of all the relays behind the plastic battery shield.
