Greetings.

After failing to find a nice, clean well-spec’d coupe the past couple of weeks I have expanded my search to saloons.

It’s been an age since I had a saloon, but the novelty of back doors and a super saloon is growing since thinking about it. Also they look like a bit of a sleeper.

I’m looking at pre 2018, although I like the facelift I heard that the sound and sportiness reduced inline with new emissions regs in the facelift.

I’ve seen three I like:

Option 1
C63 in Black, 2016 MB Dealer Sytner, 20k ish miles, FSH, super clean, totally original, heads up, sports exhaust, forged wheels, 360 cam etc. Perfect SH file and low keeers. 2 year AMG warranty.

Option 2
C63s in Blue, 2015 Random ‘performance car dealer’. Looks super clean in images and video, 20k ish miles, forged wheels, high spec with lane assist, 360, radar cruise etc - NO factory sports exhaust though :( , likely a budget 6 month warranty.

Option 3
C63s Edition 1 in Silver, 2015 StoneAcre, nice spec, looks clean but awaiting video. FSH printout, not as perfect in terms of intervals as the black one, but all done. 50k ish miles, forged wheels, red carbon, sports exhaust etc.

The black one has the best history and 2 year warranty, I have a local Sytner so that’s also convenient. But I do not like the chrome pack, would want to get that blacked out. Also has great spec, but looks a bit more boring?

The blue one has the best spec, it’s loaded with everything apart from sports exhaust which I really wanted, but could look to aftermarket valved. But it’s with one of these indi dealers, not a propper garage, and will probably have a crap warranty.

The Edition 1 is probably my favorite, but, it’s the highest mileage and oldest. It’s also the other side of the country so viewing not easy!

Thoughts and opinions welcome. They are all ‘roughly’ the same price give or take a few grand.

I know I’d buy the black one but then want to modify it slightly as the chrome is not a good look. The blue one I love the look and would keep as is, the silver also love the look and would keep as is.

Is buying c63s that is a 50k miler that’s 10 years old next year a good idea though?

Well, the guy with the blue c63s has answered all my questions and it sounds like a genuine motor. I am leaning more to it, as I love the colour and spec.

He said it has had the factory rear AMG sports exhaust fitted so valves are always open, but that is the only mod, no remap, no cats removed.

I’m trying to call overkill performance to see if they could fit electronic valves and a fob in place of the vacuum valves.

Still need to have a good think though…

I had a well speced blue saloon non s and yes they do look abit boring compared to the coupe but performance exhaust is a must HUD you will never use 😀

I used the HUD and adaptive cruise all the time but if you're not fussed about those then they're not worth factoring in. The HUD was brilliant, can do navigation with speed limits , rev counter etc. I miss that HUD

Just to add the chrome window surrounds are quite easy to replace with black but aren't cheap if you go with MB part's (I still have a set of chrome removed from my saloon) that car was stolen 1 month after I sold it from Daventry 😪

^ Cracking looking car Steve:thumb:
Worth pushing for a longer warranty or reducing the price and getting an MB warranty?

Edit. The blue one.

I've had a look online for some reason says to call when I enter reg, maybe due to age. AA only cover up to 10 years, so although the blue one is on 23k its 10 years old next year so won't cover it. TBH I like all of them in their own way. Silver edition 1 is cracking but 52k miles :/

^ Now you've posted a photo of it, I agree, the Edition 1 is really nice.
Liking those red accents on the trim and wheel.
50k isn't a lot on a 4lt biturbo engine. Probably been run up and down a motorway quite a bit to average 10k a year.

I did say warranty was an issue for me on the blue one, I said I'd give him a grand less if I liked it to cover warranty. Best quote I found was £800 but only covered until 10 years old, so mid next year :/

Yeh it looks smart. The service history is up to date as of April this year, every A and B service every year. 5 owners though, small amount of wear on centre console. They said they would service and fresh MOT for sale and give a 1 year warranty.

It is 3k cheaper than the others.

I think you may have decided:D
