Dear all

My intended purchase of a w202 failed due to the seller changing the figures I'm now in the position of can't decide which model to go for. I currently have a choice of a C230K Sport, C200 Esprit or C180 elegance. Which should I go for, I don't need the speed of the C230 but it's a nice 1.

Hello Shabbs, its often said that the larger engines pull the car so much better,, by this I mean a 230 is just as economical as the 180 or 200. Its down to the power weight ratio.

What one do you really like the best

Yes with out the kompressor yes it will be, but the difference is very small, I would go with what you like the look of, what is the spec like on it, bearing in mind that most dealers call standard options extras

Most of that is standard spec but its good. Is this from an MB dealer with the 12 months MB guarantee

Manual Gearbox??

Be aware that the C230K will probably have a manual gearbox ,certainly the first ones did. I couldn't help noticing the gearbox type was not mentioned in your description. The C230K in manual form is a very sporty drive,but if you are looking for a "cruiser" then go for an automatic in another model.

my 98 c180 w202 is at best 21mpg which i think is rather low. sometimes i do feel that its underpower so i think a c230k would be a more economical choice. definitely get the auto cuz these mercs aside from amg arent supposed to be an impreza hehe
