Which Oil?

Sorry about that below, I pressed the wrong button

I am shortly going to change the engine oil on my 1992 300D. Can anybody tell me which is the BEST OIL to use, and should it be synthetic or semi synthetic?

use a diesel specific synthetic or at least semi-synth and you should be ok.
I personally like Millers XFD, but the world is your oyster. Don't buy on marketing hype, but on the spec. It should conform to MB228.3 as oil bearing this mark is actually approved by MB.
