C63 AMG Coupe
Hi All,

Could someone please tell me which tyres were fitted as standard by Mercedes on a 2013 C63 AMG coupe?

Did owners have a choice?

Had my car 7 weeks now so still coming to grips with everything Mercedes, (used to be an M3 owner!). I've not even programmed any pre-sets on the radio what with that engine sound!

That aside, the car has Pirelli Run Flats on it.

Wasn't sure if these were standard....? If not, will change them to whatever was standard fit out of the factory.

I like my car to be as it was out of the showroom....I've never modded a car, but having heard one without the secondary cats, I'm itching to pull the trigger!

All advice appreciated.

Run-Flats?
If you are sure about that, get them off now!!! The C63 never came with run-flats, much like an M-car doesn't.
It has a space saver spare and should have come with conti's ( well at least mine did)

i believe its contis or yokos. may be wrong on the latter, and do NOT just put on whatever rubber mercedes did, put on the best! which is Michelin PSS. im sure most people will not consider a change of tyre as stepping away from factory

I bought mine with two Conti's, one Yoko and one PSS so I have no idea but, I made the dealer put on four new PSS on and they've been great this Summer.

Definitely not run flats as standard. There is no choice either from new, mine came with conti 5p's.

Depends if you have the 18" or 19" wheels. As far as I know The Continental SportContact 5P was only OEM for the 18". My 19" wheels have the SportContact 3. Pirelli P Zero is OEM for both wheels and there is a Yokohama for the 19" only. If you want OEM also make sure the tyres you buy are designated MO as only these versions of the tyres are specific to Mercedes and defer from the standard non-MO versions.

Mine also has conti 5ps from new on the 19" alloys.

Continentals or Yokohama would have been factory.

As someone said - put on Michelin Pilot SuperSport for great grip and longevity. Yoko's rarely last more than 5000miles.

Conti's all round in my 14 plate c63 outta the showroom, brilliant tyres

I have a set of Orem 18s and oem 507 19s - both have 5p MO (Mercedes specific) - the 3s are older tyres and replaced by 5p as far as I am aware.

Oh no, can of worms with the mo1 type! Not heard of them until now. My AMG came with MO so I stayed with that and I have bought 6 tyres since owning the car...

Must admit neither had I until getting my AMG. I had MO tyres on my non-AMG S203 but when I bought new tyres after acquiring the CLS they were marked as MO1.

Is it possible that MO1 is a Michelin thing? I've had 4 C63s and changed lots of tyres :) but never come across MO1 before. And don't know of any Michelin tyre approved for C63s (including Black Series).

I've now seen MO1 tyres from many other manufacturers.

Mine came with Yokohamas and still have wear in them after 11K miles
