Who Built your AMG Engine?

Replacement plaques are available via the dealership, they just need your VIN and proof of ownership (I think?)

Apologies for the low res, but its taken from a video the dealer made for me:

Looks like he's been busy!

Did anyone find out what the trend was relating to the engines this guy built?

edit: Ahhh - I see there are two De Guiseppes building these things, Francessco (who built mine) and Giuseppe. Siblings looking to outdo one another? :D

And the differences that creep in when humans assemble things. Handcrafted means they mill the bits...but no...machines do that because they are better at it.

Honestly can anyone give a veritable argument why one man one engine is a good thing...other than you know who to blame when things go wrong?

Andreas Messer built mine too CLS55 busy guy !
Looking on the net he's built a fair few cls55 engines .

I'd hope so...or he'd be unemployed!

Anyway...everyone knows Florian Brader is the best of the best...assemblers.

Yes looking at the two nameplates the signature is slightly different :D

Behar Pepshi is the name on mine.

Signature was quite hard to interpret, so took me a while to find out who!

Sylviio Muller built mine.

So...someone with less experience than a Kwik Fit fitter CAN build an AMG engine!!!

Another one built by Andreas Messer on mine. He seems to have done a decent job on this one ;)

You folks do realise that the name plates are just randomly stuck on at the end of its production? I came across a CL55 AMG komp that had two differently named badges stuck on top of each other. Best guess that it failed Quality Control towards the end of the production line and was put back for "correction" .
