Or the flip side, it might actually make more money in parts than as a going concern? After all, most vehicles that are broken for spares tend to have either front end accident damage etc so don't have so many useful spares.
Seems ridiculous, but I have done this many years ago with motorbikes. I needed certain parts, bought a complete running bike in good order and sold of the parts I didn't need. Ended up with more cash than the bike cost and a load of parts that would have cost me a fair amount on their own

I responded to an ad not a million miles away from this type and ordered a W124 front centre air vent and stereo system (headunit, speakers, cd, wiring etc.). Sent my £80 and never saw hide nor hair of the items, I chased and chased and he simply said it must have been lost in the post. Because each item wasn't listed on eBay you have no protection.
