Wind noise from left.

Hi All

I find this annoying sometimes that when I goes over 60 I hear win noise from the left size on my car. I was passing my my local Mb dealer so I quickly went in there they had a quick test drive and said yes they can hear it as well but my car might had some body work done on the left side and its because of that but they were not sure and they simply washed there hands off. And the reason they said that it might be a bodywork issue because they said look you have some car polish here, which I found that quite funny because I polished my car last week and left some bits in corners!

So guys any idea what this could be, what do I need to check?

Thanks in advance.

Salman

Sorry that I can't help with anything specific but.....

Drive around with a reliable friend in the passenger seat and see if he can determine where the noise is emanating from. Get him to start pushing things and see if it alters the noise. At least then you'll have a better idea of where to look.

My CLK has wind noise, from left side, taht MB have never got to the bottom of. They have changed door seals, window trim etc.
I wonder could it be the rear window regulator?
Does a worn (or wearing) regulator cause this issue?

I get a wind noise from the left in mine too. I have noticed that it's only when my brother's in the car...

...he'll have to cut down on the bran flakes :D:ban:

I once had a golf which had severe wind noise from left, took ages for the dealer to find out that a gromit from under the car had fallen out letting air travel through the left pillar.

check for any exterior trim out of place as this could be disturbing the air flow and causing the noise
