Hello All,

I have a E220 cab 1994, and having issues with the window on the drivers side not sitting properly:doh:. So I decided to open up the panel and have a look. There are two questions...

(1) Has anybody messed with these as from picture 1, where I have placed red circles, you can see there are bolts that allow for adjustment (the circle on the top left is supposed to be of a bolt that the picture has missed!!). Does anybody know what bolt does what??

(2) In the second picture, does any body know how to remove/replace that silver trim on the outside of the door so I can fit the rubber seal properly as I find that is hindering the window from moving upwards??

Must apprecitated

Ash

If you are trying to adjust the angle of lean so it goes under the rubber lip then you are looking in the wrong place. You don't need to remove the door card at all as the adjuster bolts are on the outside under the lower door trim.

There's a video showing how to do this on the R129's somewhere. (same procedure)

The height adjustment is made by adjusting the L shaped stops which are at the top of the door. Careful though, the bolts are made of cheese and will snap if you tighten them even a smidge too tight.
