Hi all

Am thinking of getting my Silver 98 E300TD Estate tinted from the B pillar back. Have 4 kids 5yrs and below and want privacy sun shade and a little touch of class. Am intending to use Pentagon, only delima is whether to go for light smoke, smoke or midnight. Anyone any thoughts or experiences with similar car or colour.

Thanks

My local dealer had a 211 estate in recently in silver. Smoke tints and 18" rims made it look awsome. If it had been a diesel they might have had an order!

Go for either of the smoke versions as midnight is wrong on a silver car.

Ask Jimmy what colour his are. If you're going to the GTG on Sunday there is on-site tiniting available. See the thread in the Events section.

Get OEM blinds instead . . . then you can tint, and un-tint at will :)

I'm never sure whether window tinting is an interior section thing or a bodywork section thing, this time it's going into the bodywork section, glass is bodywork isn't it? :)

But the tint goes on the interior :)

Well that was the dilemma, I think in the past I have put tinting threads in either section so it's difficult! I even tried searching but it's an even spread.

I have light smoke tints all round, the technical name is 30% tint. Personally I would go for the same shade all around otherwise it makes the vehicle look like a commercial version or a van. Even though I have the light shade it keeps the interior very cool even when left in full sun and it adds a degree of security too.

im with Jimmy there, i had light smoke done by pentagon when i bought the car, and it makes hell of a diff in inside temp! as well as a classy tint not a pimp tint!

Have told the guys to go ahead with smoke, this was before seeing the most recent advice to go for light smoke. Hope the smoke tint does not look too tacky. Pentagon are fitting, wife left tailgate and rear door glasses into them this morning, therear side glasses will be done in situ. Again hope i have made right choice.

Thanks
