W221 2012, previous MB's quite a few
I would welcome the general opinion on Wiper life expectancy, I have a 3 year old MB just over 11k miles on the clock. Main use in London area, while I am not in a hurry to change for the sake of it I would have thought that the Wipers should be ready for replacement by now. Not so says the main dealer, is he being kind and trying to save money and the environment. What is the life of a MB Wiper, small point I know but I hate marked windscreens from duff wipers being used.

Wipers on my W204 are 6 years old. Still fine.

My Car is just coming up to 1 year old and I think they already need replacing!

It is down to how often they are used and what conditions they experience.

If they clear a clean but wet windscreen with each pass then they are probably OK.

If they leave streaks of water behind, make noise when moving or judder or seem to rub/smear the water over the screen, they probably need changing.

I used my car week-daily and mine lasted nearly 4 years. They were rubbing water over the screen by then but also where my previous windscreen was cracked, one had got slightly damaged as well.

I replaced the screen and the wipers at the same time. You forget how good new wipers are!

My other half's Juke ones lasted 3 years but probably needed doing a bit before that - however, she cleans her screen with washer fluid more than me so uses them more.
