Hi,
My wing mirror indicator is not working, The mirror defo works as I hooked it up to the other side and its fine.I stripped the door module off and I see the wires from the mirror plug into this so im guessing its all powered through the door module, The wires look ok and all other mirror functions are ok too. Any ideas? 2001 CL500
Thanks

Most times this happens it's due to broken wires due to the folding of the mirror but you say the indicator worked when you switched it over?

Hi yes the mirror worked on the other side of the car so it not the mirror.

You might still have a break in the wires; - the indicator just happened to work on the other side! I take it you regularly folded the electric mirrors?

Check again with the hazards on and manipulating the wires to see if the indicator stops working although this would be best tested with a meter.

It is possible it could be the door module, I have a similar problem just waiting for the weather to warm up a bit

Yep, can be but STAR diagnostic is the best way to check it out whereas a broken wire can be checked for and found for nothing :D

Hi, thanks for your replys, i will completely strip out the loom from the door and get a better look. Thanks guys

Hi,
Just to update, I managed to fix it. Stripped all the loom from the module to the mirror and all wires were fine so I traced the two wires back to the plug. when I looked in the module where the plug fits I notice one of the little pins was bent and was not seating in the plug when inserted. I managed to straighten it out and got the plug in and it is now working. Only problems are that the dash indicator is still flashing fast although I have not had started the car and drove it yet. Also managed to crack my mirror glass when put the cover back on but e-bay have them failrly cheap.
Thanks guys
