The meter calibration is spot on.

Snap Crokers,--c270 last 4000mls average reads 43.7mpg so re map and light foot is working .quiet chuffed with those figures.last car was a e220 manual chipped and was even better average on a 250 mile trip was about 50mgp at steady moterway speed?.My car is proving very cheap to run in this weather -- its so miserable out I stay indoors in the warm......dead cheap motoring....:bannana:

Gee those figures put mine to shame,i did a shopping run this morning driving at about 2000rpm,and mine as been remaped,got me worried now.My engine as done about 25,000 miles.My fig this morning were 33 mile 31mph ave 42.8mpg.All a road plus town. 3569miles 37mph ave 42.8mpg.looking for addvice now please.

So the SL takes 2 1/2 times as many lamps?During the Suez Crisis in the 50's. I used to empty roadside lamps into the car, making a 50-50 mix , sure there was lots of white smoke and not that much power and the pinking was deafening, other than having to fill the carb with petrol for the cold start of the day there was no problem.
That car was only 2 liter, the SL is 5
