Good evening,
After starting of my C250TD 1997, the witness of pre-heating remains lit. i was changed the 5 candles and yet the problem persists. Thank you

hi,
Where can i find it please?
I can't identify this relay in the driving compartment?

As you look under the bonnet its on the right hand side. It has a largeish plug connector on it.

behind the headlight of right-hand side, beside ABS?
do you have a picture plz

Plz your help i can't find it.
Thinks

Can you shoot a photo towards the rear from the ABS unit, covering the area to the right too. Glow plug wires should be huge, the relay unit is pretty big too, not like the one you hold.

I don't know how the connector to the glow plugs looks, the one with 5 pins would match with the number of glow plugs in your car, are the wires big?

Ok i'll take a photo like you told
Thinks a lot
Ok i was found one:

To be honest basamir I do not know . the manual is not clear

2 possible locations
1. early cars
The picture in the Haynes manual shows the relay just behind the ABS solenoid unit. This is the unit with the brake pipes just in front the white plastic windscreen washer bottle. It might be underneath the washer bottle?
2.later cars
From the description it might be underneath the engine ECU and ABS control unit which are in the box you have circled in your picture. you may have to remove them to get to the relay? MAKE SURE YOU DISCONNECT THE BATTERY FIRST

Look under the screen wash bottle. To check them quickly first remove the big multi plug from the glow plug relay. The pin numbers correspond to the cylinder numbers. Get a test lamp and connect the crock clip of the test light to a feed and probe the pins of the wiring loom to the engine one at a time. If the light is nice and bright then that cylinder glow plug is OK. If it's very dull or off then the glow plug is faulty or you have a wiring fault. Hope this helps. If you are not sure about doing this the get a competent mechanic to do it for you.
