Did the C43 have a 'special' back box? The SL60 didn't ... just a standard one with the two downward-pointing steel tailpipes (possibly same part as the SL500). You could get an "accessory" AMG box though (with the chrome AMG tips - as per my car), which did cost a fortune.

Yep - all C43s, C36s, CLK55s etc had stainless AMG exhausts with chromed tips as standard AFAIK - certainly in the UK
