YAY! My Two Seater Restoration Project!

Your avatar is well out of date now. Be interesting to see what you come up with by way of an update.QUOTE]

Hi John,
I've thought about the avatar change and I can't think of one as cool as DSOTM.:rock:
This was the first forum I joined (and the only one I use) but I know if I could change anything it would be my forum name to "Arkle" after the mighty steeplechaser of the 1960's.

It's taken a while to free-up the rusted chains with plenty of WD40 but thankfully the rest of the machine doesn't seem too bad. Still work to do though...

I think the mods can change your forum name.

Hardly biking weather at the moment tho. Just been down to the local village my route passes over the M6 at J29, Yup - nose to tail north bound!!

Nice purchase. I agree with the candy apple red and as Dw124 says why not buy a pair of the split rims and do the dame with the centres. Where would you mount the Comand system and the Bose / Harmann Kardons?

Very nice machine, expect the first upgrade will be an AMG front and rear.

Thanks Guy's.

Although it's tempting, I have no major mods planned at the moment but I think a gun-sight three pointed star is a must for each headstock. ;)

An old thread revival, but after looking at the bike thread by Howard, I thought I'd better come clean.

After not having the time or incrimination to restore the two-seater, Mrs Ringway (after years of nagging) caught me at a weak point when a scrap metal collector peered over the driveway gates. The bike is no more. :(

I can't believe this news having started reading from the beginning:-(

I was going to suggest a GTG and have just taken my bike down from the roof in the garage to start cleaning and polishing. I also put my Lycra shorts in the wash........ bugger!
