Nothing stops that kind of thing faster than watching yourself on video! You’ve adapted really quickly.
Many years ago I went on a presentation skills course, during which I and other delegates were recorded on video whilst presenting - many times - it made me (and everybody else) acutely aware of the things that we all say, and noises we make, without realising. One of the best training courses I’ve been on.

Yes, every one of my video's I still find totally cringe (well, they are) , the first time I appeared on 'on screen' talking was my AMG race start video. the first segment I had a script (or bullet points) located next to the GoPro - you can see I keep looking to the right of the camera.
My last couple of videos where im on screen I do it all unscripted and off the top of my head, apart from having to do around 30 takes per scene each video seems to be getting easier. My girlfrend comments that the 'character' I am on screen is completely the opposite of what I am in real life - Yes I work in IT and im a Merc geek, but im not a nerd in person
Last week I was due to be at the Nurburgring and I had arranged a tour around RennTech were I was going to film it and possibly Interview someone, somthing I have never done which still terrifies me to think about it.
I follow Tavarish, Legit street cars, vinwiki, samcrac, richrebuilds, goonsquad and my own channel!
I’m very new to it but I own a small batch of Mercedes cars. I’ve got a few more videos coming out of my E55 in the next month. Please feel free to take a look: Lowpro
