I was just wondering if anyone else had seen this month's Quentin Willson "Classics on the Cusp" article about the W210 E55?
As I'm currently in the process of buying a 1999 model, I was heartened to read that QW thinks these are on the verge of achieving proper classic status and that...
Have been discussing this at length with various people on forums recently. Interesting read. I think sometimes people believe premium fuel brands marketing hype a bit to easily. It's the octane rating that really makes a difference.

Does anyone else remember the car magazine, that would have an article where they took a second hand car and stripped it down to nearly every nut and bolt?
They'd have a nice photo of all the parts neatly laid out on the floor. The article would then describe how they thought the car had worn...

Not the article I was expecting at all when I saw the headline.

While mousing around to see what I could find in the way of information about the new 7G-Tronic Plus transmission, I found this article for download. It's fascinating to read about the design objectives and what has been done to meet them.
I have no idea how long it will be available, so if...
There is an in depth article about the W124 Cabriolet on the 500sec.com site.
Lots of pictures, production figures you name it. A must read for all cabriolet owners I guess.

The torque figure is something I identified with after driving a C63 and a CLS63 but I thought at the time I was imagining it
I think the front looks very mean and hits the spot BUT the side / rear
