ashtray

Hi I am after the ashtray etc. for a c280. It's slightly different from what seems to be the norm as it has a deep bottom tray and a cigarette lighter that pops up out of the ashtray. I suppose any w202 would fit. Someone has ripped out the ashtray braking the mounting assembly for it...

How do i remove the ashtray (not the inside part that comes out to tip away cigarettes) the actual wood bit. Car in question clk 1999 230 kompressor elegance coupe auto Reason for removal New one to fit. Thanks in advance

I've replaced the bulb but still no light :mad:. I've looked in the mechanism on another C Class ashtray but I can't work out where the switch is. Anybody know how it works and how to fix it? The lighter works fine.

Purchased a 2002 ML320 and have found the ashtray will not open Is there a way to get into this without forcing it I assume it is simply a case of pressing it and it should soft open upwards? Will not budge no matter what Regards Pete

Unlit ashtray and enthusiastically smoking wife is not a good combination in the dark. Can anyone tell me how to replace the ashtray bulb in a 1999 W210 please? The lighter works fine, so the fuse and power lead must be OK.

For those of you who are heavy smokers and want to put a new (brand new) ash tray and cigarette lighter back into the merc. I have the innards of the part I bought for my CLK computer project. It's the Cigarette lighter unit and the ashtray insert. Never used.... £10 gets you both....
