Does anyone know how to check the fault codes on a C250D W202 1995 model. My autodata CD seems to imply you can do it with a switch and a LED connected across some of the DLC pins, but this method seems not to work :(

When you start it from cold it is fine, then at 60 degrees C suddenly there is a clonk from the injection pump and it suddenly runs real rough and smokey. Gets a bit better as it warms up. But really knocks over 3000rpm

My c250d looks to have the original cassette / radio. What is the procedure for removal. There are no holes on the front for removal keys so I am a bit stumped. Do I have to remove the heater fascia/controls?
