Due to my company's car policy, sadly the CLS has to go, as it's too old. I'm replacing it with an SLK 250 CDI.
Did go to look at a 350, but it was in a real state, so walked away. The 250 will be plenty for now (although may get a remap at some point), and much better than the CLS now my...
It is with a heavy heart that I need to sell my W-reg C43 AMG. I bought her less than two years ago and have done less than 1,000 miles. She’s now done less than 110K.
Soon after getting her I had to get a lot of work done and now she is a good sound car.
In the time I’ve had her, she’s had...
Bit of advice really . Seems like the coating/lacquer is coming off in patches around he front of my e class & starting to look bit of a mess , no rust just looks like it's peeling

Been a VAG fan for many years, my last MB was back in 2005, a c220CDI.
I have since then had, Audi, Volkswagen and currently a Skoda, my first ever privately owned car after company cars for 23+ years.
I currently do around 25k annually, being on the road every day, but service my Skoda...
Hi folks, just wondering if there is any such thing as an autojumble type thing happening any time soon? My '79 350SL restoration project means I need more parts than an out of work actor and sourcing some of them is proving to be a bit difficult to say the least. :(
Any advice much...
2009 Mercedes C200 Sport CDI Auto
We have had the vehicle 2 years. 5 months ago the battery warning light came on. The garage has replaced the battery, alternator, glow/relay lamps and checked the electrical output and belt. They even took it to the Mercedes garage next door, to which...
Ive checked all the codes (none), tensioners look fine, car runs great. RPMs are good, oil pressure good, power good, car starts up with no problems, has new harness, new motor mount, all fluids changed at regular intervals. But when in gear, and stopped there is a rattle coming from what seems...
This is an interesting car potentially:
Lot 37: 1993 Mercedes-Benz R129 600SL | Classics Central
181,000miles but a very full service history until 2010 when the current owner seemed to buy it then do nothing.
Getting details and photos out of the auction house is like pulling teeth...
Hi all, not sure if there is anything going in the Lancashire area? Would be good to chat other MB owners, swap advice etc? If anyone is sorting anything I would be interested.

Hi folks
After 6mths with a BMW 330ci, a CLK430 convertible popped up that dragged me over to the other side of the fence.
The car is bought as a bit of a gentle restoration project, and needs a bit of love in certain places, so I'll probably be popping up with a lot of (inane) questions...
Was only a matter of time I guess before the Koreans got in on the hybrid act.

Ignoring the Torygraph's anti-EU bias for a moment, it would appear that the consensus is we'll be forced into using petrol with 10% bioethanol content within the next four years to meet the EU requirement that 10 per cent of transport energy must come from renewable sources by 2020.
With the...
Hi
I had a C63 coupe which didn't last too long (5 months), just didn't get along with it, should have bought a saloon, should have bought one with LSD, could have would have should have etc...

Following on from my thread a couple of years ago (http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/parts-maintenance-servicing/158153-w202-worth-rescuing.html)...
After a 7-8 year lay up sitting on my parents driveway, my dad's w202 c200 had been in use regularly by my father-in-law for the past couple of years...
Hey folks,
Well looks like I'll be coming back again. To cut a long story short I traded the c63 in for an a45.
Though they are I nice wee car I'm missing the c63. Think I have found the one that ticks all the boxes.
Having lost a wedge on both cars I can safely say the c63 will be...
It's driving me crazy. It appears to come from the rear self but could be the sunroof.
Any idea on how to sort this? Car is going for a service soon and I intend to mention it to them but considering the car is 4 years old, I am not expecting much sympathy from MB.
Thanks
After a long pause driving some nice reliable cars like the Lexus and some bonkers like an RX-8 finally subsiding with an Audi A3 S-Line Diesel :fail (which has been a money bit) I decided that I really miss the star on the bonnet and the friendly forum community.
I want to buy a W211...
