Anyone have any recommendations for removing glue residue from car interior?
Like from a mascot or something, it's left behind a square patch of sticky glue.
I have seen glue/tar removers but they seem to be meant for the exterior, bit scared to try them on a car interior.
Any products or...
Hi Guys,
Recently I began hearing a noise coming from the belt area when the car was cold, and what we discovered is that the crankshaft pulley is coming apart (a photo is attached below).
A new pulley where I live would cost about $350, so I was wondering if it's plausible simply to use...

Hi when i am washing the car the trees we have here spit and you get little blobs about 2mm in size like a brown glue, they are really hard to get off.

Does anyone know of a decent metal glue, preferably one that is a conductor when dry. I'm trying to bodge a wire onto a starter motor on a laguna but it's in such an awkward place that I can't solder it. I've tried evo-stick rapid metal and an araldite one but they don't conduct lol
Any...
Ordered a new under-bonnet insulation sheet from wunderpartz. Do I need a special adhesive for this or is there something I can buy off the shelf from somewhere like Wickes or Halfords to do the job? Cheers!
Hi all
Loving my new clk convertible. I still smiling when I drive it. The only problem I,ve found Is the roof leaks between the molding and the rubber by the passenger window. It must hold it there because it streams out when I pull off. I,ve read it's a problem others have had.

I've always de-badged my cars and simply used fishing wire then a thumbnail to remove the glue left behind.
But with my CLK either its typical Mercedes over-engineering or its because its nearly 12 years old but I can't shift the glue on the boot of the car!
It's taken me hours just to...
I've taken the badges off my car, as they are a little worn and look nasty. However I'm stuck trying to get the glue off, I can't use a hairdryer as live in a 3rd floor flat. I've used hot water, and wd-40.
The badges came off fine with dental floss, its just the glue.
Anyone have any...
So have spent the last couple of hours trying to deal with the previous owner's handywork - they'd obviously decided it was a humdinger of an idea to affix something to the black dash with superglue (and bang in the middle to boot), what en eyesore!! Careful work with Locktite glue remover has...
Recently my CDI became only a DI, when washing off the old glue I used what I thought was a soft scourer only to leave a patch where it looks as if the paint has faded slightly. Will a good polish/buffing take this back to normal before i put on the new badge?
Also anyone with Tanzanite Blue...
Hi, my son decided to glue in the lock to my roll top central console when playing in the car. He stuck the super adhesive stuff right into the lock, and i think it is pretty much screwed up!
How can i get a new lock / barrell?
What i mean is the i want a replacement original lock that matches...
I have just bought and fitted a new rear window for my Zed, and the glue provided to stick down the overlap of roof is not all that great (as a sealant is fine). So can anyone recommend one that is suitable for mohair roofs and will be pretty damn strong? :)
hi
i need to glue a clip onto a bit of plastic trim that you move (its a seat switch). Unfortunatly, i've tried Araldite and the repair just breaks after a few uses.
can anyone recommend a stronger glue? the new part is over £50 new and probably £20 2nd hand if i can get one so i'd like...
I have a w202 classic and I bought the long wood strip that runs along dash under windscreen , It has a metal backing and its moulded , exact replica of original strip . What glue or adhesive will fix it for me ? I am loath to try superglue etc .
