Help, W123 shakes on startup
Hello,
I am fairly new to this forum and this is my first post.
About a month ago I acquired a 1985 w123 230e with 66k on the clock which is a pleasure to drive. In the last week, every time I start it in the morning it starts without a problem but then the revs...
So one of our party for Monday has dropped out. As they are unable to cancel at such short notice, it means there's a cheap pass for a car and 2 additional drivers up for grabs. I'll be there in my 507 C63 with an RS5 to keep me company. Anyone interested, let me know.

Going to get the car out tonight.
They don't seem to have gritted yet so I'm taking advantage of a dry night before winter kicks in.
A couple of guys have already said they'll be keen to meet up.
Come along if you don't have much on.
I'll run recon in the Alfa before I set off just to...
... you get the car that nobody else wants
Maybe I'm being harsh, but it is an Atkinson Lee chauffeur special, a manual E220 CDi. This is the first manual Mercedes I've ever driven and it takes a while to get used to having to use clutch and swap gears oneself. At least the interior...
As some of you know, I've put my C36 up for sale and was intending to drop a '55 lump in the 'C43, then maybe look at supercharging it.
In a moment of clarity today, this struck me as being a bit silly; why not sell both AMG's and buy a C32? After all, I've got a bit of a crusade to own every...
I bought my facelift 2007 W211 E320 CDi Sport at the beginning of December and have covered a decent 3,500 miles in that time. This average will go up greatly over the summer with trips to the coast & other family jaunts planned.
Since purchase the only 'parts' I've replaced have been the...
I have an almost new Smythson iPad sleeve case for that someone special ... no, I don't mean your Merc :ban:
I bought it for my wife, but she never used it, it is boxed in Smythson box, with insane amount of wrapping paper, ribbons and fluffy stuff
I will post it by Royal Mail...
I'm days away from confirming an order for a 2012MY E250 CDI Sport 'Edition 125' 7 spd Cabriolet. As I will be ordering Distronic, the price differential between this and a E350 with new new stop/start 265bhp engine is coming to c£1200 after discounting...
I drive approx. 20k a year, so...
Hi all a neighbours son visits our street every so often, over the years he has owned a 360 ferrari,a audi rs4,a mercedes clc and now a 09 reg maserati granturismo s, i got a bit worried that it might be quicker and more powerfull than my c63 but a quick bit of research has bought a smile to my...
Had to move the car out of the way this morning - there was some good music on the radio so ended up sitting there for 5 minutes - was a bit surprised when i looked at my mpg count to see it at 9.9mpg! Granted, i wasn't moving anywhere, but that'd sucked a lot of juice through in 5 minutes (i've...
Got my brother coming round in half an hour (8.15pm) to go online and buy himself a PC with my advice:crazy: He only needs it for email and web surfing and won't be using it for media or gaming. What's the best machine for around £300 with monitor? 29 mins to go.....
Decided to put the new Philips X-treme Power headlamp bulbs in our three vehicles, for a little bit of extra safety on dark winter nights:

The R129 and Audi A4 have H4 (double filament) bulbs, whereas the Vito...

The display on my dash says ive got 18 days left before my benz is due for an A service.
I have read that MB have started an express "A" service in some of their dealerships .. does any one know if there is a dealership in London or within a one hour drive from London where this...
