the new cl 420 has a pretty serious misfire - i think it could be two cylinders. It started a day after i bought it and has remained.
This is the first do-er upper I've had which doesn't have a dizzy.
The car had been laid up for years then put into MB to recommission, from where...

Hi,
My 500 misfires for about 2-3 seconds after start up. It always does it, hot or cold, unless the car has only been switched off for 30 minutes or less, in whcih case it starts fine on all 8.
I am almost positive that the miss is fuel related because it also happens whilst driving along...
Problem:- Once warmed up (about 15 – 20 mins) car starts to cough and splutter, shudder, misfire, backfire lose power and the engine dies. Then it won’t start (only backfires if you try) until 30 – 40 minutes have passed, then it’s perfect for the rest of the day. Really embarrassing at lights...

I have replaced the Plugs x 2...
Hi Everyone
wondering if someone could shed some light on a problem I have. The car in question is a 1999 C180 Sport that has developed a misfire when cold, yet when warm and running, it is actually fine unless you give it full throttle. Where at which point it either dies completely or becomes...
Folks
I've got a significant misfire on acceleration and the car (a '93 600SEC) doesn't want to go anywhere near the red line. If I ease off the throttle a little, then the engine seems happier. I'm also getting less miles per gallon than I should.
I don't have an exhaust gas analyser though...

Hello All,
