Had the dreaded "brake liner wear" come up. Not unexpected as the service sheet suggested new disks at next pad change, and they were low. Question is, Merc oem parts or aftermarket? I don't do track days or prolonged heavy braking! What have other '32 owners done?

I have just been reading up on the sbc system. Does my car have it? Does this mean its a dealer job to change the pads? If I don't have it, I assume its the same procedure as changing the pads on any other car?

Performance pack car and when I bought MB pads for it there is a little leaflet in the box warning about SBC braking system safety issues. Is there ANY chance my car has this system or can I just get on with changing the pads without worrying about limb loss and other issues that require MB to fix??

Sorry to bring this up again but just looking through ECP and noticed they list ATE, Pagid and Textar pads for my 2001 CLK55. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with any of these pads on their W210 E55/W202 C43/W208 CLK55. I'm really not liking the oem MB items as they're kicking...
