Hi guys
I just picked up a w210 e320cdi it runs and drives ok but..........
It wont rev passed 2000 revs when driving, but drives smoothly and changes up ok
If revved at idle it will red line but knocks then cuts out, it then fails to start after just turns over buts sounds horribly, if...
Hi all.
I was taught my driving lessons, that a zebra crossing gives pedestrians a permanent right of way, and that you are to wait until the pedestrian has completely left the crossing before setting off. He said, "What if the pedestrian stopped and turned around to walk back?"
Always made...
Every year I go to Deutschemarque in Edinburgh for the annual service and MOT.
And for the past five years I have bleated on about a dull heavy clunk emanating from the rear suspension - or so I thought.
And every year it passes the MOT and nothing is found amiss with the suspension. Until...
hardly seemed to last a day. But it's over....
:( Well thats it, today I had my winter tyres put on- summers over. I managed to get time to clean the wheels properly before they were put back on the car, which was something at least.
It was freezing so I could only give the car a quick...
The test of the practicality of the CLS as a family car was always going to be put to the test in our annual summer hols trip into Europe. With roofbox on (necessary evil) we cruised across to France, then Italy and back. It racked up 2,300 miles in 2 weeks and it didn't miss a beat. It happily...
152,000 Miles on the clock passed with flying colours :bannana::bannana::bannana:
I have been thinking about changing my car recently due to running out of mod ideas, but after days like today I think I will keep my trusty W202 until I can afford a G-Wagon which was made before 1901.
My...
Took the old girl for her MOT this morning - went straight through with no advisories for the 2nd year running!!
Also emissions were only at 0.45% which shows that the engine is in a healthy state - not bad considering she's on 161k miles.
My car was booked in for the MOT and a few niggles I had yesterday / today.
Car passed :)
I also had them check the levels of all the fluids especailly the antifreeze ready for winter. Then sort the steering wheel out as when my dad had a track rod end fitted the steering had always been a...
I don't get on here enough these days, but felt I needed to share this. Only thing needed sorting was n/s track rod end. Total for test, labour, parts and VAT was a shade over £170. Looks like I'm keeping it another 12 months!!
As a follow up to the previous poll and reflecting on yet another poll about passing first time I thought I'd combine the two. Sorry for hijack. No comments just vote. Second or greater is implied.
Car has done the grand total of 4300 miles since the last one ...
Had an advisory for slightly pitted front discs , so will sort them out in the summer.
Very pleased :bannana:
Hi
Both our estates were up for the test today, my 210 and the wifes 124 and both passed no problem. Wife rear foglight bulb packed up but was allowed through.
Well chuffed considering the miles on both cars.

hi
had my car (96 r129) serviced (a) and MOT today
it failed on a tyre and windscreen wiper and indicator light having incorrect colours but all been rectified (used spare tyre for now as that still has 3mm on it)
the service, mot, oil change and a £70 valet which probably only cost about £20...
There are occasions when I do longer m'way or dual carriageway trips on cruise. Usually set it about the limit - or lower if the traffic is generally moving a bit slower.
Anyhow I used to get annoyed by passing people who then a short distance later would pass me and then later I'd pass them...
Hello
Third MOT we have had for our little A class that seems to be doing really welll, passed again...but
Advisory that slight rattle at tickover could be cat?
Now its my wifes car but I've noticed this and suspected poss Cat as I held the back box as it was on tickover to see if...
:bannana: Well its been a whole year of ownership of my first Mercedes ( bought for £2000), and 'the old gent' has just passed his MOT with NO advisories!. Looking at the mileage on the previous MOT it shows I have done a shade under 3000 miles.
So time to take stock and look at what I have...

very pleased indeed. i checked the emissions sheet when i got home and found the lambda reading was 1.030:confused: .all though the car passed it was right on the limit it should be between 0.970-1.030. anyone got...
Yup! My car's first MOT taken and passed, "As you might expect" the MB technician said!
Two advisories, front pads and discs will require replacing "soon". Well, the second "A" service is due in 1200mls (at 48k mls) so it looks like I'll get my money's worth out of Service-Plus...
