Looking in manuals and online, there seem to be wildly varying figures being given for the transmission fluid change interval. Some suggest changing it every year or 15k, others (including the Haynes manual) say 36k, with no specified time interval. Does anyone know which is correct...
I need to replace mine on my C200K (its a 2003 model) When I'm looking for a replacement there are two types that I can see that are used for my car. The two variants are one pulley is solid and on the other choice of pump, the pulley has holes in it (looks like an alloy wheel) I know I need...
Howdy,
Anybody got (or had) any experience with these Chinese SIP's? I need one for my CLS as it's failed (swapped the relay, no joy)
They're cheap - but question is whether they'll fail again in another year or so?
:crazy...

Hi all,
As it says in the title, are these any good, or no good?!
Mine is the `06 w203 diesel engine. Do they get enough oil out of this engine, the same as a standard oil change?
This one here seems to get decent reviews http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0047N08GW/?tag=amazon0e9db-21
Thoughts?
His problem has so far cost me £900 in new bushes ball joints control arms, etc etc but the damn knocking sound is still there.
It only happens going over speed bumps, pot holes or very uneven surfaces particularly when turning steering wheel to left.
It sound like it knock on the descent like...
The fuel pumps (twin pump setup) on my 1990 260E appear to have had it. They are noisy and delivering half the fuel the should.
New bosch/mercedes replacements are fearfully expensive so I'm looking at the options. Early 6cyl 124s had a single pump setup. Pattern pumps for those are cheap, but...
Hi all,
I'm looking for the connectors that are used to connect the various pneumatic lines in the car to the pumps and air reservoir
Specifically, the dynamic seat pump to the air reservoir (small black connector).
Does anyone know where to find them or are they specific to MB? I've...
Hi All
was just reading back through some correspondence with Savman and its only now I observed one of his comments; in that as my car has done 80,000 miles that I should consider replacing the 2 x pumps. I have no idea if these were done previously but gather its more of a precaution? I...
I have 500 SEC 1988 and the pumps eare really noisy... they used to make some sound all the time but then I parked the car for 11 years in a warehouse yard in Kent in very high humity..
since I brought it back on line the pumps are much louder.. I can hear them from inside the car very clearly...
I know that these can fail after a specific number of brake applications and that refurbishment is theoretically not possible.
I also know that having the counter reset is possible but means taking a calculated risk. I guess the warning message doesnt necessarily point to pump failure and more...
After a major disappointment at the EC Dyno day when power on the car was failing at 5500rpm, early indications was it was a fuel delivery issue.
After doing alot of digging around and most things leading me back to the fuel pumps, i pulled the seat bases up and removed the bolted covers to...
BBC News - Petrol price 'may go up 4p' as retailers urge review
:wallbash::wallbash::wallbash:
Also, this time last year the difference between Petrol & Diesel was only around 5p, now its 9p a litre
Anyone used the KWP brand water pumps? I normally go for OEM parts but after forking out heaps for a new Behr Radiator to find messy irregular fins welded sloppily, protruding out either side of the core & the piping that separates the fins bowed upwards I couldn't care anymore tbh.........
In addition to the mechanical lift and HP injection pumps on the front of the engine, my (sometimes dubious) Haynes manual says my W203 c220 cdi also has an electric fuel pump in the tank integrated with the fuel guage sender - anyone know if this is actually the case?
