SLK 350 R172. I am trying to find a supplier of the little screw clips that hold the lid to the battery compartment on. The lid also acts as an air intake duct for the cabin air. Mercedes say that the thumbscrew part of the clip is only available with the air box.

Managed today to do a proper clean on the 'Swmbo' R172 after finally getting some decent weather :thumb: This was the result after snow foam, wash, clay barring and a dash over with supagard (ex Ebay!). This being my first attempt, I'm quite pleased with the result :D Andy

Mercedes want silly money for one. There are some cheap naff looking ones around from obscure sources and with undisclosed delivery charges and of course they need painting. All I want is a pre-painted one that I assume is a DIY double sided tape install job. What's the advice chaps and chapesses.
