Evening all
Would you say one of these is better than the other? Apart from one falling off the hub when the wheel is removed obviously. I'm thinking from a safety point of view more than anything. They aren't Merc specific, I couldn't find any jpeg images on fleabay but you get the idea I hope.

The wheels I have are 8.5J wide offset 35. Is it just a case of measuring from the rim to the arch or does any know what size spacer I should be...

Hi,
Last year I bought a CLK220, the standard wheels are 225/45/17 (front) & 245/40/17 (rear).
This has been my first winter with the car and it has left me stranded more than once already, due to the tyres being worse than usless in the snow.
I purchased a set of SLK wheels with 205/65/16...
Can we fit any spacers on those car? Do we need the four wheels or only 2 at the rear can be fitted? How wide?
5mm ( I don't think it would be noticable?)

just thinking a fatter look might be a better look, after...
Would anyone here know if any/some AMG cars come with spacers for the wheels?
Or to be more specific - my 2001 CLK55 AMG (W208) has small spacers (5mm?) front and rear. Should it?
I couldn't see an MB logo or part number from a (very) brief squint earlier on. Can't work out why they'd need...
I'm after a pair of wheel spacers for the rear of my W124. The type that bolt to the hub then the wheel bolts on to the spacer - not the type that uses longer bolts!
Either 15mm or 20mm thick each spacer (i.e. total track widening 30mm or 40mm)
Cheers!
