As I have began to embark on the slippery slope of restoring a W202 C43, I have decided whilst I have the rear subframe removed, to replace the bushes incl the diff bush.
Do any of you good peeps have the part numbers (as WIS wont work on my macbook ) for all the rear subframe bushes and...
hello guys, after the cars been in for a check up today, the garage suggested it could do with its rear subframe bushes replacing.
Anyone done this DIY? Id like to have the subframe itself sand blasted and repainted while its off, so wouldnt be suitable to give to a garage to do....

anyone know where I can buy the insert / removal tool for the R230 subframe? ....only place I have found is in Taiwan.....I have emailed them but not got a reply yet
Hi all,
I just got mine back from the MOT today and it would appear that my car has been in a minor altercation at some point in its life. It has been rather poorly welded and in overall poor condition, so it is my intention to replace it, but I need to know..
Can somebody advise me on...
- car went in for alignment
- they told me as 'non MB' suspension parts are fitted they dont know if they cant fit camber adjustment bolts
- car drove horribly
-took it back this morning advised them if they couldn't do it properly they shouldn't have started the job and they fall short of...
Well my rear subframe bushes are goosed! Noticed them while having tyres changed.
It's also recently developed a concerning creak from the N/S/R when stopping or pulling off and over large bumps that cause the car to go over at an angle! I'm hoping this is down to the bushes also? As whilst...

Hello.
I have successfully removed the rear subframe from my CLK 430...and all went well .
I have fabricated a wooden platform with wheels to be able to move the subframe around the garage and out for blasting.
The only issue I have is the handbrake cable is attached to the subframe via a...
Hello all,
I am gathering all the parts I need to restore the lower reaches of my 300CE-24 Sportline. The EPC says I need:
A1293511442 Rubber mounting (Rear subframe to frame floor - Sportline only) 2 off
A1243506708 Repair kit (Mounting parts) 1 off
One apparently gets enough for...
Hello guys...
I m trying to tidy up my CLK 430 , I have derusted the front and painted the front subframe and inner wings ...now it is time to do the rear of the car..
I m tempted to drop the rear subframe off the car to give me better access to treat rust under the boots area and also to...
My e500 Coupe in the last day has developed increased road noise. When the car was in for a service (in march) my indie (who I trust without question) advised that the nearside rear upper front arm bush & offside rear sub frame bush debonding and allowing some movement. It wasnt a massive issue...
Hi All
My W211 e55 AMG makes a clunk when I am changing through the gears.
It went to the garage and they said the rear subframe bushes are knackered.
They didn't have to tool to get access to them or they said the rear subframe would have to be dropped at massive cost
What can I do
Need to change the rear subframe front bushes.
2000 W210 estate.
I can do jobs on the car-the major concern is getting the old ones out. I am stuck if I cant finish the job, as I need the car for work.
Just how hard are they to remove?
Cheers
Looking at Euro Car Parts and they list one as "rear subframe bush front right"
I think they are the same both sides, but they dont list a left side.
Can anyone confirm?
Thanks
One of these, the driver's side, is in a terminal condition. The curved triangular mount is on the point of coming away from the chassis. The chassis "looks" okay but only once the joint is cleaned up to bare metal will all become clear. I am thinking that if the rear subframe/axle needs to be...
Last night I pulled away and the rear end went bang and the **** hit the deck. I got out and jacked it up to find things not where they should be. Does it look like this is going to cost £££s
Best pics I could get with the standard Jack on the side of the road.
Any opinions?

I have replaced one side of the rear subframe front mount. No problem. I removed the other side, removed the mount, replaced it only to find that the subframe seems to have moved relative to the body so the bolt goes through the mount but will not engage in the chassis.
I have tried crowbars...
