Hi I wondered if anyone had managed to fit a diy tow bar kit. Ive seen one at about £120 which seems good value compared to fitting one at a garage but the safety aspect would concern me with self fitting. Any advice? Thanks!

Just bought a Tow Sure bar for my ML320. Went to fit it, removed the middle cover, Lo and behold an original Oris Tow Bar and Electrics fitted by Mercedes when the car was new. If I can find a 'tow ball neck' for this tow bar 'Type D137' it would save me alot of trouble and money.

How do I locate the right place to drill to attach tow bar to my car. Intructions from towsure refer to locating dimples in underside of floor pan and removing mastic as necessary. Anyone had experience of this. Electric installation look tricky...any advice please Thanks:confused:
