    W124 throttle travel.

Ive bought a W124 to use over winter. Everything seems ok but what I have noticed is the throttle has waaaaay too much play in it before the car moves.....is the excessive travel a W124 'thing' or can the biting point be easily adjusted somewhere? Thanks

    B Class brake pedal travel

My wife has just bought a 1 year old b class 160 sport auto with 3k miles on - when we drive it we both feel the brake pedal has a lot of travel in it before it really feels that it starts to bite - anyone with a b class feel the same with there cars - is it just a quirk of the car .? :dk:

    Throttle travel and response

I am still getting used to the relatively long throttle pedal travel and need to push hard and deep to get a quick kick down from my W203 320 petrol.Perhaps it is a German trait as my partners previous BMW 330 petrol was similar in these respects. It can make the car seem unresponsive at first...

    Beam Benders for holiday travel

I've bought a pair of Saxon "beam benders" to deflect the dip beam to the right whilst touring France. The fitting instructions aren't up to much & neither is the web site, can sometime give me an idea as to wher they should be fitted on my W203 coupe headlights please Dave:confused:

How far would you travel to a dealership?

I've just been admiring oldcro's shiny new W212 in his album posted today and it reminded me that I've long puzzled over the logistics of servicing a Mercedes when you live in Shetland. Aberdeen is around 12 hours away by ferry at a cost of £120 or so - each way . Just how far would you...

We are regular summer visitors to St Ives, so are used to the 5am start from Bristol to get to St Ives by 8am, grab a parking space, breakfast and hit the beach. Gaining and extra days holiday and avoiding the horrendous daytime traffic on the A30. Due to family circumstances we weren't able...

How far do/would you travel to view a car?

Just a question. I've just sold one of my cars. After advertising it before Christmas (bad time, I know) it didn't have a single viewing - and I was in no hurry to sell, hence I decided to take it off the market. Taxed it for another year and used it a bit more recently - and decided to...

202 front suspension travel when doing springs

Swapped my front spring pads for #1s today. Did the passenger side first, disconnected roll bar and shock, but top arm was still preventing enough travel to get the compressed spring out, so split the top ball joint and carried on. On the driver side, the once I had disconnected the shock...

Headlight symetrics change for travel worth the bother?

Hi, I am going to France for a week in June in my C220 CDI estate and I see that MB recommend visiting the dealer to have headlights reset. Is it worth the bother as I could do what I have always done in past with deflector tape-- -no yellow tints though :0) Stuart.

    124 pedal travel

My newly aquired 124 has long brake pedal travel (its my 5th one so I know!) the car had new brakes last year and they work fine. I've been told that if your not carefull changing the brakes you can damage the master cylinder, and I should have one put on, before I do that any other ideas? Phil
