Don't you love it when something just works.

Just had my new Viseeo MB2 delivered. Within 5 minutes it was in the car, paired up, phonebook downloaded and working No profanity No tools No messing with phone No recourse to MB manual No internet browsing of MB forums for tips. Nice one!

    124 Works Feedback

Hi Everyone, May I just say through this medium a great Thanks to Ian at 124 Works in Kirkham. He just completed a B Service on my CLK270 and the service was second to none. I have noticed over the years that people are very quick to criticise when things go wrong. However, they are less so...

    How a government bailout works...

It is a slow day in a damp little Irish town. The rain is beating down and the streets are deserted. Times are tough, everybody is in debt, and everybody lives on credit. On this particular day a rich German tourist is driving through the town, stops at the local hotel and lays a €100 note on...

W208 stuck in park - but now works!

My W208 has been parked up for almost 3 months. The battery went flat so I charged it up and took it out for a spin and to get it all warmed up. I stopped and put it in Park. I was sat there with the engine still running for about 5 minutes then went to put it into Drive and it wouldnt budge...

Hazard flasher works but turn indicators don't?

I had the voltage regulator die on my 1988 W124 260E the other day but before it did, the turn indicators stopped making their clicking noise but would flash. Shortly thereafter, the car died and only the solenoid would click when I tried to start it again. Battery drained dead, I knew it was...

    Body works in Swindon area

Hi guys, I'm looking for a good and cheap body shop. I need to get my Golf resprayed (full body spray). The car I bought a year ago in Bristol from some bloke who didn't realy care about it, so it's in a really bad condition. So if you could point me somewhere I would be happy :) I have been...

    SBC Hold works how exactly?

I believe my car (2007 SL350) is supposed to have SBC with the SBC hold function. Stupid question, but I don't find the handbook very clear on it... How is it supposed to work? I've understood from the handbook that with my foot on the brake, I just press it a little harder and SBC Hold will...

    124 Works - my experience

My W209 CLK55 AMG went to Mercedes Benz Stockport for a general "check up" on the 8th July 2010 as I'd only recently bought the car. I was charged £253 for the privilege of being told that my car needed (amongst other things): New front anti roll bar, bushes & links. headlamp level...

Thanks to Ian at 124 Works

Long time lurker here on the forum. Had my Wife's CLK in to a local garage for a window problem who proceeded to damage the car door. Did a search here and found Ian. Had a chat with him, brought the car to him and he went above and beyond what I would have expected from a garage. The...

More good works at 124 works

Took mine in today for some work. Excellent job, done on time and at a very fair price (nowhere near what MB would have charged that is for sure!) Not much more one could ask for - except hobnobs I guess but it is understood that the Scottish faction consumed all stocks... Saw...

Big thumbs up for 124 Works

Read all the posts on here and realised Ian is about 4 miles from my house! Had my E55 AMG in for a B service and air con sorting. Could not meet a nicer more helpful guy than Ian, after dealing with so many BMW/Merc main agents it was an eye opener. Like so many others I highly recommend...

Spotted.. in the works car park!

Our Finance Director runs a W211 E320CDI as his daily car. Fine choice, and very sensible as befits an accountant.. However, he does have some petrol running through his veins.. he brought his "weekend car" into work last Friday,, and very nice it is too.. :thumb: A couple of pictures for your...

    124 Works - HobNob announcement.

It is with great pleasure that I can announce that Ian has received the back order of the aforementioned delicacy :D. Also there is also now a 'stand bye' supply, when they start to be depleted again. YUM! :thumb:

    Excellent Service from W124 Works

All Another thread to give a massive shout out to Ian at W124 works, I took my coupe in for its footbrake to be looked at, after (badly) attempting it to tighten it myself and diagnosing it as worn brake shoes. Ian could not have been more friendly or helpful and after a brief inspection of...

    124 Works - Good service

Thought I'd share my experience at 124 Works on Monday. I went in to get an oil leak fixed and a misfire looked at on my C240. Oil leak was fixed (properly this time, unlike the previous cr**py job by the local stealership). 300 miles later and not a drop has leaked out. Misfire diagnosed...

    Crash protection works!

Was rear eneded last night by a van that had failed to notice I had stopped in traffic, estimate of speed at impact was 40mph. I saw it coming and braced, my new E Class hardly moved forward at impact and head rest system popped out to protect my head from whipping back and seat belt tightened...
