Folks

AM I missing a a locating plate/tab on my Drivers Side front indicator? I have bought new indicator lenses that have three locating tabs. Two locate onto clips on the headlight side. The single (outer) tab appears to have nothing to locate into, just a hole in the metal inner wing. Should there be a locating tab?

Cheers

Bruce

Bruce you get two tabs on the inecator lense and a spring loaded one that goes in the opening in the wing .Easy to break these tabs off .So locate the two tabs in the head lightside in to the top and bottom, then with your hand inside the bonnet help the larger of the three to clip in the apeture .I broke clip on one lense , the first time i removed it to change the head light. And second time last month replacing front wing. But lucky to pick two up in mint condition for £20 . The last one i broke, i fixed it back on with Araldite .Still in there now .

The problem I have is I cannot see anything for the wing side tab to lock onto? The tab on the lens is good as it is brand new. But there is no locating plate inside the wing.

Here you go. You can see the headlight locating slots but nothing on the wing?

Bruce the go in to the little boxes on the side of the head light and not in to the wing. Are they original head lights? I can see the one but the other looks small and lower down.

Bruce the two wing fixing bolts go through the same box to hold the wing on .See picture You nust fit them to the head light not the wing

The issue was (as you said) that the finger that locks onto the wing section was/is missing. I discovered this when I removed the passenger side lens to check. I have ordered a new unit from ECP.

Thank you

Spot on Bruce.I have repaired one i had broken in the past with Areldite and a piece of spring to support the tab .Its still in there now .After i picked a pair up from ebay for £10 each. Just have not got to fitting it, as long as its slicking in place. Try Rob parker threepointed parts
